How to Become a Member
Membership in Seattle LinuxChix is a 2-step process:
- First, join the overall Linuxchix organization by visiting their Web site, http://www.linuxchix.org/content/docs/listinfo.html and sign up for the "announce" mailing list, plus any other mailing list of your choosing. These lists span a variety of topics, from the purity of "techtalk" to the musing discourse and chapter business of "girltalk."
- Next, to be part of the Seattle-area happenings, complete our membership form and wait less than a week (usually one day but no promises) for a response.
Make sure to tell other chix about the chapter, because women in technical fields frequently miss hearing about networking opportunties! If you are a man and think you would like to join, please read the FAQ and decide for yourself about
membership.
Thinking outside our boxes
We are always looking for gurus who can help us along. If you know of someone, male or female, who is a Linux guru, send them our way. At the very least they can get a t-shirt
for their troubles!
